• Victoria University of Wellington was formed in 1897 by passing an act in the parliament. It was named after Queen Victoria because it was the 60th anniversary of the Queen’s coronation in 1897. The university has around 17000 enrolled students, out of which around 4000 are international students.
  • It has three campuses, and the main campus is located in Kelburn, New Zealand which houses the Faculties of Humanities and Social Science, Engineering, Health, Social Science and Education. The second campus is the Pipitea campus that is located close to the New Zealand Parliament building which provides a home to the Faculty of Management and Facilities of Law, Finance, Government, Finances and Information technology. The third campus is the Te Aro campus which houses the Faculty of Design and Architecture. Victoria University also has courses at Auckland CBD.
