- Established in the year 2006, Dr CV Raman University is situated in Kota, Chhattisgarh, India and was founded by the All India Society for Electronics & Computer Technology.
- It is a private university. The university comprises various departments, such as engineering and technology, computer science and information technology, humanities, commerce, education, journalism, law, management, science, etc. It also consists of a department of open and distance learning education.
- The university offers undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral, diploma, integrated and short-term programmes. The university was named after C.V Raman, who was a famous Nobel Laureate from India. Dr CV Raman University was awarded the Young Achievers Award in 2018.
- The university received this award by the then Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh.
